I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and wouldn't trade it for the world.  If you ask me what I'm most grateful for, it's where I spent my formative years.  Brooklyn taught me to speak up, to fight for my beliefs, to value loyalty, and it exposed me to people from all races, religions and backgrounds.  We were one and the same, it didn't matter.  To this day my closest friends are the ones I grew up with, and although no one will ever be able to compete with that, I've managed to form an ever expanding family of badass, brave, fit people who are crushing it every single day.

I've been a rebel my entire life.  If you tell me I can't do something, it goes right to the top of my list.  If I see a Do Not Enter sign, it's exactly where I'm going.  My heart has been followed far more than my brain, and I'm blown away by the results.  I've done everything I always wanted to do, mostly on paths that very few follow.

 

I am not a fan of luxury, unless you are talking about high thread count sheets.  My favorite place to be is home, but that spot has changed quite often.  I've lived in more than 25 apartments/houses in my lifetime because my mom had a gypsy spirit.  I adore and often crave change.  I'm single and I think it's brilliant.  My aim is dead on.  Although I raced in triathlons for 12 years with the most exceptional women of Team Lipstick, I am a dancer first and always.  The best years of my life were spent in the competitive ballroom world with hundreds of other dancers who, like me, could not get enough.  I've instructed more than 15,000 group fitness class in my lifetime (and still going!).  Dancers and group fitness instructors are the happiest people I ever met.

 

Team Lipstick began in 2008 with 25 spectacular women.  We trained more than 750 women to do their first ever race.  I myself participated in 50+ triathlons from Sprint thru Half Iron distances.  In 2010, we began hosting travel events.  We did the Reggae Marathon in Jamaica, South Africa's double century bike race, we went canyoning through the mountains in Mallorca, did a triathlon under the Eiffel Tower in Paris.  The list goes on.  Creating Team Lipstick has been the most stellar, life changing experience of my entire life, and the one I am most proud of. 

 

When I started Team Lipstick, my goal was to provide a safe, supportive environment for women to excel and thrive as athletes.  I wanted to attract strong minded women.  Women who support other women.  Women who were positive, who didn't mind getting uncomfortable through embracing physical challenges.  What I got was so much more.  The women of Team Lipstick ultimately defined our brand.  We became a family who willingly faced their fears, knowing that an army of kickass women had our backs.  

 

In 2020, LeveledUP Experiences was born.  The company is a rebrand of what we already do, just wildly and unapologetically LeveledUP.  Our program helps high powered women get out of their comfort zone in order to discover and develop the tools needed for exceptional breakthroughs.  Fitness, adventure, community and travel are combined into one powerful package.  Our clients are forever in search of MORE ... more success, more happiness, more positive outcomes, more skills and capabilities, more laughter and celebrations, and more authentic versions of themselves.  We help them develop tools by pushing them towards the unexpected. 

 

In January of 2018, I moved to Mallorca, Spain.  After eight years of visiting this absolutely stunning island, I decided to stay.  In 2023 I receive my permanent residency.  The main city takes up just a small percentage of the island, the rest is mountains, beaches, farms, villages, and an enormous amount of preserved history.  There are sporty events all year round, as well as a ton of festivals.  We celebrate literally everything ... the almond, the olive, saints and demons, history and tradition, wine, sobrasada, mushrooms and more.  These full blown parties are island wide and often in costume.  If you come in January, you'll experience the fire festival with music, food and dancing in the streets.  If you come in June, you'll have to swim in the sea at midnight holding a candle, in order to purify body and soul.  I'm truly in love with Mallorca.

Although I've been curating events in Mallorca, Spain for private clients since 2011, we are finally making it official in 2023 with the launch of Mallorca by Design.  The island is one of the hottest tickets with billboards in Times Square and features on the most prominent travel sites.  People used to ask me where Mallorca was located exactly, and how to pronounce it, but now they know.

I still spend a good part of the year in New York City, as that is where my family is.  That is also where the BEST people on the planet live in my opinion.  They are outspoken, brave, resilient, diverse, driven ... and very loud.  My 7 year old niece Zoe is the most fun playdate of all.  She is curious and confident and she loves to explore.  She is the future of LeveledUP women.

 

I've often been asked how I did it ... how I moved to Spain and started a new life.  My answer is I booked a flight.  Is it that simple?  Not exactly, but then again, it sort of is.
