  • What will the weather be like?
    October is one of the best times to explore Tuscany if you prefer avoiding the crowds but still enjoy warm temperatures. The weather is particularly pleasant with temperatures around 70°F/21°C during the day, and 55°F/13°C at night.
  • What is the maximum group size?
    12 women plus 2 organisers.
  • How will the rooms be allocated?
    All rooms are private with private bathroom, for maximum comfort and a bit of solo time. They are each uniquely beautiful in layout and decor ... reserved on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. The earlier you book the more choices you’ll have.
  • What level of fitness do I need for this event?
    Count on quite a bit of walking to explore various cities and villages. At times this includes hills and cobblestones. We will offer optional morning stretch sessions plus yoga classes in Florence for those who would enjoy that. There is also a sauna and heated pool at our private villa to soothe you. Our stretch sessions are barefoot, as are the yoga classes in Florence. Clothing should be comfortable and “stretchy” or “loose fitting”.
  • What should I pack for this trip?
    A pack list will be sent to each and every guest prior to travel. Casual clothing throughout, comfortable walking footwear, swimwear for the pool and workout gear (if participating). The pack list will be much more detailed.
  • Do I need my own travel insurance?
    Yes. Solo in Style requires each guest to purchase full personal travel insurance for the duration of the trip. It's the safest and best way to travel.
  • Will I have to share a room?
    Never ... all rooms are solo occupancy with private bathrooms. Some are on the ground floor, some are on the top floor, some have balconies, etc. Rooms are reserved on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis.
  • Can any and all dietary requirements be accommodated?
    Most requirements are possible, although pure vegan and gluten free in Italy can be limited. We have a private chef in Lucca, so there it is easier. In restaurants we will do our best, but if there is a "must try" restaurant that does not offer these options, we may still add it to our itinerary. In that case we offer options for other places that meet individual requirements and preferences.
  • What type of payment do you accept and how do I submit my deposit?
    We accept bank transfers in EURO for payments. If you are converting from another currency, we recommend a company like WISE as an inexpensive way to pay, or simply pay direct from your bank account. We do not accept credit cards as we prefer to put the additional cost for that into creating your experience. On the day that registration opens for this event there will be a link to fill out our client profile, as well as to pay your deposit. First come, first served, 12 women are welcome.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    1,000 euro penalty if cancelled on or prior to July 1, 2024. No refund if cancelled on or after July 1, 2024. We will assist you in re-selling your spot to another Solo In Style member, but this is not guaranteed. If we manage to re-sell your spot, there is a 500 euro cancellation fee.
  • What are COVID measures in Italy and what does Solo in Style require?
    Solo in Style will ask all guests to follow the requirements of travel to Italy at the time of the event. There are currently no COVID requirements to enter Italy.
  • Who will be welcome to join this travel event?
    This trip is exclusively for Solo in Style members ... women 50+ years of age with a brilliant outlook on life, who love to travel and want to meet like minded women.
  • How will airport transport be arranged and managed?
    We will do our best to accommodate different arrival and departure times with various pick ups and drop offs, however, it is possible that an early flight will have to wait for a later flight to arrive before being transported. These decisions are made once all clients have booked their flights. We strive to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
  • What can I expect from LeveledUP Experiences?

  • What physical level do I need to have to participate?
    This is indeed the question we hear most often and the answer is ... All Levels. With 30 years of coaching under her belt, Laura's talent is to ensure that your training is absolutely specific to YOU in a supportive group environment.
  • Is participation in training mandatory?
    While we don't actually accept applicants un-willing to train, it is perfectly acceptable to sleep in some days.
  • What do I need to pack?
    Each event has a unique pack list that will be sent once you register, so you won't forget a thing. And since we are big fans of "carry-on only" luggage, we help you master that.
  • May I book a private room or do I have to share?
    Some people travel with friends or family and they want to share. We try to give the larger rooms to them. If you prefer a private room, there is no additional charge. Prices are per person, not per room, but rooms are first come, first served. The sooner you sign up, the more choices you have.
  • What is special and unique about LeveledUP Experiences?
    We vet everyone who travels with us to ensure the most exceptional experience. Our prices are per person, not per room. We eat in a variety of restaurants with no limit on what you can order. There is an enormous amount of personal attention prior to the event, such as an application that is all about YOU, a one on one call with Laura, a fun Zoom call to introduce everyone, a private WhatsApp group, LeveledUP gifts and informational emails. During our events, surprise and delight reigns supreme. And finally, a stellar community is guaranteed, but we ask that you contribute your talents to that community.
  • Is there a payment plan?
    Absolutely! After the initial deposit we customize based on what works best for you.
  • How many people will be on this trip?
    Our events are generally 12-16 people for a more intimate experience.
  • What if I have special dietary requirements?
    We offer Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, and many others. Just ask!
  • How do I apply and reserve my spot ... what is the process?
    First step is to fill out our application. Next, we schedule your one on one call to dive deeper into expectations on both sides. After that, send your deposit and we weave you in to the fabric and community of the event.
  • Do I have to be female to join?
    Yes, except for one annual EVERYONE event.
  • Are the adventures for beginners?
    First, we get to know everyone prior to the event, so the itinerary reflects what we learned about you. Second, all adventures are all levels. The challenges are more mental than physical, but we won't ask you to jump off a 10 foot cliff without having first tried the 2 foot cliff. And even though we are there to push and support you, everything is optional.
  • Do you have a loyalty program?
    Yes ... we offer considerable discounts for those who have traveled with us in the previous calendar year. After your first event, it is possible to never pay full price again.
